Thankfulness

Cornbreads and dressings, potatoes, mashed or sweet. This is the holiday for all you can eat. As Thanksgiving Day comes to a close, we sit with full bellies and hearts warmed by love. I am so thankful for this holiday, because it's a sweet, annual reminder to count your blessings. Living in such an affluent country, it's very easy to forget how fortunate we actually are. So there is always something to be thankful for. At the top of my list? Belonging to a family that keeps God first, loves unconditionally & laughs uncontrollably.

Happy Thanksgiving, to all!

The Exchange

This past weekend, my youth group, Six Degrees Live, put on a worship conference called The Exchange. The whole concept was to exchange your ways for the ways of the Lord. Exchange your fear for faith, and your selfishness for selflessness. Once you make the exchange, that's when you can truly live the way that God wants you to. It was The Exchange's first year, and it was a such a success. The worship experience was impeccable, and the word was life altering. During the event, I was one of three photographers capturing the moments before they ran away. So this post features just a few of my favourite pictures I took before they slipped through my fingers. Enjoy.

Autumn Colour

The crackle and crunch of fallen leaves under your shoe. The chilling kiss from brisk winds on your cheek. The warm whiff of cinnamon spices filling your nose. The decadent shades of orange and yellow leaves set the scene. These ingredients mix together to create my favorite season of the four: Fall. My favorite of these ingredients are the leaves of course. Leaves are what make Fall, Fall. The first time you spot that yellow leaf that sticks out amongst the green ones on a branch; or when you see an orange leaf gracefully twist and twirl to the ground, you know that Fall has finally arrived. In this post, I went on an adventure to find the turning leaves. Where I live, leaves don't start turning until late October. So I went looking for the ones that weren't afraid to go first and show off their true colours. Enjoy.

Sunspot Time

Since Autumn is in full throttle, the colder days are replacing the warm ones and the sun is hiding behind the clouds more often. But one thing hasn't changed. That one thing is what I like to call Sunspot TIme. This is the part of the day when the sun is just low enough to make a cameo in my pictures. The rich shades of orange and yellow it brings with it make my heart flutter. So here are a few of my favorite Sunspot Time pictures. Enjoy.
